Postnatal Mum and Baby Yoga

Overview

Bring your baby along to this gentle yoga session at The Studio, specially designed for new mums and led by a qualified, experienced postnatal instructor. Work safely and effectively to rebuild core strength, open tight shoulders and strengthen your back while melting away tension with the help of breathing and relaxation techniques. There’s plenty for baby too – they join in a lot of the postures and get to do a bit of yoga as well!

Suitable for mums from eight weeks postpartum (ten weeks after a caesarean birth). This is a small, friendly, relaxed class that usually leads to a cup of tea and a chat afterwards.

Janine

Janine has been practising yoga for over 20 years and teaching since 2005 after qualifying with The Yoga Academy. She combines many different styles of yoga into her classes, but ultimately she loves a good vinyasa flow. Janine is also an experienced, fully qualified prenatal and postnatal yoga instructor and has a background in hypnobirthing. She believes yoga is for absolutely everyone and especially loves teaching beginners. For Janine, yoga is about more than just the physical poses. It’s about moving and breathing, breathing and moving, and finding that connection that brings you back into your body. When she’s not on her yoga mat, Janine is hanging out with her three young children, writing for newspapers and magazines, riding her bike along the winding Wicklow lanes or trying to be green-fingered in the garden.
